Can Men do yoga?…is yoga just for chicks?

Well hell yea men can do yoga! I make sure to incorporate yoga into my warm ups before each workout and typically get in one hot, power yoga a week.

Why Men should do yoga:
-Excellent for joint mobility…dudes are born with tighter hips. Hip mobility allows for better athletic and strength movement (especially deadlifts + front & SL squats) movement
-Great for flexibility…I HATE stretching, its boring. But I use my power yoga movements to stretch pre and post workout…this helps reduce back pain and allows for greater muscular strength
-It’s different from what you normally do…whether you focus on metabolic training, bodybuilding, strongman or a badass mixture of everything (Rippedmancave training), yoga works your body in ways you are not use to. This requires new and more muscle recruitment
-Graceful flow: Ladies like guys who move smoothly, not like a barbarian chasing a chicken. A lot of yoga is flow from one movement to the next…which is great for a lot of reasons; dancing, sex, confident energy and not looking like a jabronie. Arnold did Ballet back in his bodybuilding days to learn grace for posing

Trust me, you’re not too manly for yoga…and if you think you are, you’re lacking the balls for humility

In today’s video, I show you a basic sequence:
1. Downward Dog: 30 seconds
2. Extended Inside Angle right side: 30 seconds
3. Extended Inside Angle left side: 30 seconds
4. Warrior II left side: 30 seconds
5. Reverse Warrior II left side: 30 seconds
6. Warrior II right side: 30 seconds
7. Reverse Warrior II right side: 30 seconds
