If you’re looking to learn the basics of vinyasa yoga, this foundational series is for you. In part 1 of 8, we focus on learning ujjayi breath, the audible type of breathing in vinyasa where we make the inhales and exhales consistent, setting the pace for our class. We then work into the physical staples of the vinyasa yoga practice; downward facing dog, plank pose and the postures that make up sun salutations. Using these poses we start to connect ujjayi pranayama with the body and movement.
