Watch as Ladies’ Home Journal shows you how to get back pain relief from the cat-cow yoga pose! For this stretch, start on all fours. Your knees should be under your hips, and you should slowly drop your head to be relaxed and hanging. Round your back as you pull your navel in toward your spine. Keep your tailbone tucked under. Pause here, and raise your chin as you lower your belly toward the floor. Lift your tailbone toward the sky. If it helps, try to imagine there’s a string pulling the center of your body upward, and then as low to the floor as possible. Yoga for back pain is a great way to relieve stress and muscle tension through this stretch.
